Tales From The River Brahmaputra

A mythical spring, born in the rice of one of the most sacred regions in the world. A vast torrent of water, crossing some of the most inhospitable regions on earth during its journey of almost three thousand kilometers. A question which haunted 19th century geographers ? the Tsangpo of tribet and the Brahmaputra of India ? one single river or two different ones? Ancient maps show a rather fanciful course of the Brahmaputra, the result of legends and stories brought back by travelers, due to a lack of precise information.
